Since minor league parks are being posted, I'll show our local stadium. Renamed
Modern Woodman Park in 2008, the former
John O Donnell Stadium was built in 1931 in Davenport Iowa on the banks of the Mississippi River on the site of the former city dump. Today it is the home to the
Quad City River Bandits, a single A affiliate of the
St. Louis Cardinals. It was completely remodeled in 2004. It seats approx 4024 people.
I've spent many hours since my childhood in this beautiful stadium. While it looks almost like a completely different place inside the park since it's renovation, it will always hold a special place with me.
I don't know if it's due to the current economy and more people are having "staycations" but the games are almost always sellouts this year. Hey, it's cheap, fun entertainment.

Walkway leading from the 3rd base concourse to the outfield berm.
Exceptional views!
Right field berm. My favorite spot to sit. The game in front of you, the Mighty Mississippi behind you.
My town of Rock Island sits right across the river.
