I think this is a smart move for Dranoff. He seems to do well with high end condos - see sales records he set at 10 Rittenhouse, and the briskly paced sales at Symphony House.

Plus, now that with the switch to condors, it explains the new, better design. The tower also looks more slender and proportional. I'm excited for this to start. Article says construction will start early next year. The parking lot closes October 31st. We'll probably see site prep and excavation starting in November.

That rendering is of 500 Walnut because they mention it in the article. Read the description below the picture. There are two renderings of One Riverside which definitely looks different than 500 Walnut.

Does anyone else think it's weird that this was a front page article about Dranoff and One Riverside, but they don't mention a peep about SLS which also has a significant condo component? Seems really strange.

They did in a different article by Curbed Philly. I think we have established that Philly.com/Philadelphia Inquirer sucks ass.

I like the rendering of One Riverside from the southeast. Some of the views from this building will be amazing!!! On second thought, isn't that view actually from the southwest?

Through only 260 ft tall because of the location this will add some depth. And possibly will encourage more development like that!

I like this design overall. It will be good to see this and CHOP tower go up only blocks apart and add some density on that side of the river.

I like the way it looks. As mentioned this will stand out even at the 266' height. Its quite awesome watching the buildings grow on each side of the river.

Now if we can only get more buildings of this height on the other river.

With the price of these and the rents at some of the other new buildings opening up I'm starting to realize there's a lot more wealthy people in Philly than I once thought. Maybe one day I can afford a utility closet in there.
