So many great aerials coming out these days!

Wikipedia has a slightly older but still relevant aerial, and it is massive:

150 Van Ness Avenue Demolition.

01/07/15 - The old AAA building is now down to the foundation.
The view is from the Essex Fox Plaza, 14th floor.

Could you guys help me name the unnamed 6 photos below? I don't know SF developments nearly as well as I'd like to.

South Beach must feel quite different than it did a few years ago, with Rincon Hill looming over

some random things...

1 Henry Adams in Showplace Square

the entryway on Brannan for DropBox (333 and 345 Brannan)

the SW corner of the large development at 8th and Harrison

another shot of the new building on Polk. really like this one

in Hayes Valley, 455 Hayes is uncovering

Hayes and Laguna

55 Laguna steps

not sure it was the idea, but the steps were open, so I walked up for a look-see. when you get up to the mid-block landing and look right, you see this

looking back the other way:

looking back down the steps toward Octavia

the original building in the SE corner is getting its makeover

the project going up at Market and Sanchez

another view

Potrero 1010 is getting some landscaping on its western end

definitely getting some wide sidewalks (and water-management features) with many of these new developments downtown. this is Lumina

Lansing

just realized the thread for Jasper is closed, so here is Lansing. it sort of looks like the alleyway itself may end up getting a redo as construction settles down. not sure about that, but would be nice. 45 Lansing is on the right in the distance, not very visible

timbad - thanks for the exclusive sneak preview of 55 Laguna. It is an awesome use of the former school property.

I saw 455 Hayes Saturday. I am very pleased to see the results.

Rockwell, 1634-1690 Pine at Franklin

I'm very disappointed with the back of Rockwell as seen from California and Franklin as well as from Whole Food's parking lot, where it will remain exposed for many years. Why does Planning continue to allow this? We gripe about NIMBYs, yet also give them many legitimate complaints.

Because that blank section of the building goes up to the property line so when a neighboring building is built it would cause issues if the wall wasn't already like it is now.

It would have been better to have a taller structure rather than this semi ugly square box. Look at the lower left balconies too--I wouldn't even consider buying one of those units.

You are looking at an unfinished back side that will eventually be covered up. The corner view is much better. People complained all the time about how NeMa looks on the outside, but if you live there you only notice the really nice interiors.

The second image below (from the 50 First thread) reminds me of an image I saved to my computer exactly nine years ago, when the very first stages of a southward skyline expansion became visible on the horizon. We've come a long way since then - the ensuing decade in SF has been one for the history books, an unparalleled period of growth which will completely redefine the look of the City.
