The Address

The firm is planning a 19-story, 58-unit condominium, Yehuda Mor, executive vice president of Fishman, told The Real Deal. Construction on the new development will begin in the first quarter of 2012. Mor declined to comment on the size or price of the units or on who would be marketing the building, saying it was premature.

"We think the time is right to enter the Tribeca housing market," he said.

Where's the guy who made that decision to redesign the tower so I could slap some sense into him.

That original design was incredible and the new one looks like they stole the design from the 90's.

The original design is one of the worst casualties of the recession. Really unfortunate that the developer had an amazing design, but then decided to redesign to a completely bland and generic box.

If I ran New York, I would so implement a design czar. Crap like this has no business being built in prime Manhattan.

Another beautiful building destroyed not even by VEing but simply lack of vision. The original design was badass.

Seriously? It amazes me how someone could have asked for a revision, when they had such a jaw dropping design. Mind boggles me to no end.

^ I'm certain it was purely a cost issue, but it doesn't make it any less painful to the aesthetically in-tune.
