That's what is laid out in Zurkowsky's article. Wetenhalls only come back into the fold when Claridge/Lenkov money enters the fray.

I might be the only one that thinks this... but is there a way to change the title of this thread to CFL 2020, instead of the current Cfl 2020?

Milanovich officially named head coach of the Eskimos. All over the Eskimos website.

OK I am with you guys when it comes to seeing the team's fanbase re-energized and that stadium full, but cheering for the Double Blue on the field is just asking too much of me man!
The CFL is one of the more bizarre sports where people are actually fans of the league as well as their favourite team. To me constant needless, criticism of the Argos off the field woes is like kicking somebody when they are down, it doesn't help, and it's cheap. Remember the 90s when all the so called sportswriters crapped on the CFL non stop. All it took was a major entity like TSN to show a little TLC and everything changed.

I was trying to say be a cheerleader for the league. I don't know how to explain it and I haven't done it very well but here's an example. In most leagues the commissioner gets booed when they appear but in the CFL the commissioner is generally popular. There's a lot to be positive about this league and it would be nice to see people post more positive news because it's out there.

Corey Chamblin is out in Toronto....

Sounds like Ryan Dinwiddie is the new HC!

Wonder who ends up on his staff, does Claybrooks go a DC?

Does Chamblin land a DC gig somewhere?
I think tith the CFL Ops cap, we see more guys recycled this year onto new coaching staffs

Not that there's anything wrong with that

It's been 12 years but seeing his face is still a PTSD trigger for some of us

F'n Canadian Mafia!

It just came to me, that must be the first time a Canadian President, GM and Coach (and best player to boot) have won the Grey Cup, probably since the Red Storey days. There's a moral or lesson in there somewhere. Did Wally do all three of those jobs?

The 2020 schedule was released today... the season starts June 11, which is as early a date as I can ever remember. June is basically a regular season football month now.

I guess the league is committed to giving the players more rest and recovery time during the season which is a good thing.

Grey Cup is the 2nd last Sunday of November, which is a week earlier too from past seasons.

It isn't too unusual to have Grey Cup games played earlier than the customary Nov. 24-30 window... there have been a few played during the Nov. 16-23 period since the mid 80s.

Argos home schedule of 8 games has 5 on Saturdays and 3 on Fridays. This is a big improvement, as Thursday games were just killers for attendance. Two CNE games as well, so that should help. Pre-season is once again a school day game.

If the neutral site "home" game near the end of July is indeed Mexico City that is going to be somewhat WARM.

Having all the neutral site games come out of the Argos home game allotment seems like a dubious way to build a brand.

Is that the rumor that Mexico City will get the neutral site game? The boys better be drinking lots of water in preparation for that one!

Mexico City is also significantly higher altitude than Denver, so that will have an impact. So will the heat. Thanks to the Argos and Riders for taking one for the team
