ahhh I wish every street downtown had trees like broadway.. thanks for sharing those pics as well! I remember last time I was at the revolving restaurant, the ice on the Assiniboine was breaking up - was a great view!

Oh wow that is exciting! Yayyy for revolving restaurants! I've been to 2 of the 3 in Vancouver. Love the effect it gives. Plus any restaurant at the top of a tall building is awesome!

What does he mean by Prairie feel? Like the menu will be all prairie oriented? Or the decor? or both?

No, but good call, that's exactly where I took the shot.

I'm a cable guy, and our main "cable connection boxes" are up on the rooftops of a lot of buildings, so I have a lot of good views of the city from up there. My favorite rooftop vantage points are 1 Evergreen, 160/170 Hargrave, and 240 Stradbrook.

Circa 2003 SW Wpg. from the Crown Royal Rest, -Minus D-Condos on the Old Dubrovnik site..Man I'll miss that place. If you want to take your partner to a Class Place, that was It! 80$ easy for one and a boat launch to the Ass. River. Although D-Condos will be nice for the density.

It's weird seeing 33 Hargrave look like that, it threw me for a loop for a second & I didn't know what I was looking at.

I here ya..It does look weird looking back in time, the reno to the exterior of 33 really changed the look of that building, for the better i think, the interior suites are also a marked improvement.

Iphone pics I took on Wednesday afternoon

I rarely walk around St B, but my wife was in the hospital for a day so I took a walk from the hospital up Tache to Provencher & then across the Esplanade bridge (for the first time ever!) to the Forks & then back down around Main/Marion to the hospital.. It really makes Winnipeg's downtown seem big & more substantial from that perspective. Walking across the bridge towards downtown is pretty cool.
