I believe what you're seeing is renovation work on the Witte Building, not the Floodgate. The four rooftops that are now visible between the Canopy and Witte (the Esquire rooftop is covered by Canopy) is where the Floodgate will eventually go up.

From SA Heron-
https://saheron.com/renderings-show-...er-river-walk/

Henderson has not responded to interview requests from the Heron, but in 2017, he told the San Antonio Express-News that rents would be priced around $4 a square foot. That would make them the most expensive apartments in San Antonio.

Doing the math, that comes out to $2,988 a month for the smallest apartment (747 square feet) and $7,696 for the largest penthouse (1,924 square feet).

I liked the original best, but this looks good too.

Just looking at the other renderings in that article, this really lost the river level synergy the first renderings showed. That's disappointing.

Yeah I’ll take the river and street level of the last design over this one, but it still is a good project.

I love this, but given how slow and hopeless the Canopy is going, this might not be finished until 2022

I actually prefer the height and design of the current renderings over the first, but the street/lobby/river flow was much better on the first than these.

It's a give and take I guess.

Overall it's positive, but the interactivity with the Riverwalk is definitely lessened. I prefer the original but I'll be happy enough with this.

I think the separation between the base and the slightly set back octagonal shape creates a nice flow along the street level, having this development not imposing itself too much while also adding a nice addition to the immediate downtown area with more residential density.

I'm not a fan of the base material. I wish it was more brick or limestone, something to match esquire or the drury. But i still like it.
