It's very likely the design will change, the towers in the renders we have seen are just placeholders...

I think it works perfectly with the style of the Toronto skyline, yet is also bold and alternate enough to be seen as something different. It will blend and compliment the other main skyscrapers of the CBD without being too outlandish that they would look totally out of place.

And that view may also include those 3 theatre condos in the background.

That skyline view is going to change significantly in the next 6-7 years or so, but I really like the look of the Oxford towers in that latest rendering Cal posted. They look slightly shorter than I would anticipate for something supposed to be 326m in height when compared to the viewing floors of the CN Tower. However, I do accept that it is just an illustrative drawing, and exact heights can't be taken as entirely accurate in this image.

It's almost hard to believe.

Though I was a fan of the towers in the beginning (and didn't mind the height as well), looking at that render, I don't know how I feel having the twin towers almost as tall as the CN Tower's skypod. The casino towers seem more cohesive.

What if we took out the CN Tower?

I think they look great at that location. Would be a nice additio to the skyline if they get built.

I think having the roofs just below the main observation deck of the CN Tower works perfectly. That height helps bring a unison with the tower and the other buildings of the CBD.

BTW, to be pedantic, the Skypod is actually the small bubble-like observation deck at 447m up the CN Tower. The main viewing platform is the Glass Floor and Observation level at 342m, with the Look Out level one floor higher at 346m.

The horizontal lines inside the glass are very prominent, and this helps it fit with the rest of the skyline while still making a bold impact.

Wow that does look amazing.

The circular hotel towers don't look too interesting but that could change with some simple colour changes but otherwise it does look interesting. Oxford sure is trying as hard as they can to sell this ^^

The Hotel (Casino)Towers look a little out of scale.

... on second thoughts.

Looking at that latest image, I would estimate the hotel towers to be approximately 230 and 250m in height, which, from what I recall of the original renderings is higher than initially thought. However, I would be more than happy to have them building that tall!

These give a nice stepped transition from the CN Tower into the CBD. It will give the whole skyline a less disjointed more cohesive look. Right now the CN Tower sticks out like a sore thumb and makes the rest of the skyline look a lot smaller than it is.

A bit. They are slated to be 836 ft and 605 ft, so the east tower especially, as depicted, is larger than it should be.

At 600 feet it should look no bigger than the Ritz. Obviously those two towers on the left are out of scale.
