It looks just the same. It's slow again now, the same as it was several months ago. This is the latest picture from december 13th.

Thanks

Thanks!! Yep still looks the same, hoping there would be something different since it's been over a month. The Dubai economy will come back and all will be well

Getting snowed in here in Baltimore. They are calling for 15-25 inches of snow, already have 1-2".

Contruction

I´m unsure, wheather this building is under-construction. My uncle has recently been to Dubai. He told me, that he had a look on Burj Al Alam site and that there was no work going on. "There were only a few workers pumping out water", he said "there was no real construction work going on. On the sign the year of completion as been deleted. The site looks like the same on the picture from Wikipedia, which is over one year old".

Thats the thing about Dubai projects, why bother moving them around the entire site when they will probably begin in a few days, weeks or months. They have done some work for the foundation, we're just not sure if it will continue or not.

On the buildings website (www.burjalalam.com) are a few pictures from November. But I´m unsure, whether this can be considered as a real construction process. Emporis and CTBUH ist the tower as under-construction. But I´m not sure, wheter construction or on-hold.
