What?!? This was by far one of the best proposed supertall skyscrapers. I was hoping they would just put on on hold, no matter if it took 2 or 5 years. As long as they got in built.
Relax, thats exactly what the current plan is, they will wait a few years until economy gets back on track. There are no official statements from Moscow`s government that they are dropping Russia Tower project.

But with a garage that big there is no chance they'll redevelop the site in the near future. Build a temporary park instead, make a stupid mall or something, but don't let this project die this way!
Garage can be easily demolosihed, compared to giant Moscow Hotel and Russia Hotel that were demolished at the whim of the government some garage is nothing. Also, nothing prevents tower from being built on the neighbouring plot.

So far this is is still on hold, as per official rules. The article posted did not list a credible source - it did not list any source at all. I would not be surprised if it's cancelled, but there should be no thread movemet till we have at least a semi-certifiable source.

Not much hope at all for this one though. A single press release or article confirmation sends thie one to Never Built.

Why moved someone this to on-hold in the diagrams??? All sources say cancelled, Wikipedia, CTBUH, Emporis and the building page itsself. I´m confused. It´s not the first time. It seems to be an "editwar" which is not allowed...
