We found her safe and sound. We looked for her for 8 hours yesterday. I rode my bike around the neighborhood for 5 hours looking everywhere and calling for her, and also talking to neighbors. She was missing for about 24 hours and was out all night by herself. I walked down the driveway last night and saw a skunk up the street, and we have raccoons and even foxes around here. She seems ok, and we're going to take her the vet to get her checked out to be sure.

Our neighbor across the street called us this morning and said she had her cornered in someone's carport at the top of the street after she spotted her walking along the curb. I had helped that neighbor in the past when two of their dogs got out.

Yesterday really sucked. We have two gates leading into our backyard that are normally closed and locked, but the workers we had over left them both open when they left. And my mom let dogs out after they left and for whatever reason, she didn't check the gate. I discovered they were open and THREE of our dogs were missing. The first one was in the driveway, but apparently, she had wandered down the street a few houses and actually came back into our driveway because a neighbor said he saw that one. The 2nd one I found in someone's driveway at the bottom of the street next to their house in the side yard. The third one is the one we couldn't find, and she was out all night. It's so crazy because I rode all over the neighborhood looking even riding up into people's driveways to check.

And I'm really sorry to hear about you losing one of yours. One of ours passed back in February. It never gets easier.

After we buried Seven, I left our gate open when I was putting the shovels back in the garage and my wife let the dogs out of the house and three of them went straight through the gate. Luckily we were able to catch them. And while I was getting emotional looking at Seven's body in her little casket, my wife said the same thing to family members there, it doesn't get easier. We have around a dozen pets buried in our pet cemetery over the years. I cried over all of them, except for the three cats. Really happy you got your beautiful dog back, and I am impressed with your efforts to find her. That had to be rough.

Sorry to hear that about your dog. Yeah, it really never gets any easier. We lost one last July, one in November, and another in March. All older dogs.

And, oh, yes, I wasn't going to just hope for the best. I posted on multiple Facebook groups, Craigslist, Nextdoor, we alerted the vet and AKC, and HomeAgain. I also put up 20 signs around the neighborhood, including inside businesses that would allow it, and I talked to at least a dozen or more people I saw outside Saturday. I also went back this afternoon to retrieve all of the signs I had put up and also updated all those posts I made.

Well done, City of Kyle! That's hilarious. I love it when people are able to find creative ways to make things fun.

Almost everything on that site has been thoroughly debunked already. It's more SOS obstructionism

yeah, it doesn't even pass a first glance check

The master plan talked about creating an umbrella non profit to serve as a partner for certain activities (not "turning it over" *).

How can a nonprofit that doesn't exist yet "have ties to ticketmaster"?

Why not have the best of both worlds by raising money for the COA by selling Zilker Park to Live Nation but also having PARD maintain that strong management and planning presence?

Selling Zilker Park would be one of the worst mistakes the city could ever make. Not gonna happen.

I know a stand up comedian. Met her through tik tok. She's down in south Florida. She came to Austin late last year with some other comedians for a visit. Austin is already on the radar of comedians from all over.

Same. It's a shame they've essentially turned into the shills they initially stood up against.

"In 2022, Rogan bought The Ritz, a historic theater in his new city’s downtown that had seen better days."

as a big fan of the Alamo Drafthouse, I take a lot of offense at this
