SXSW should move into this building instead. It'd be in a prime spot.

You'd think they would've started by now . . . but there doesn't seem to be anything going on at the moment.

Isn't the underground parking garage directly under the alignment for the *new* Red River St? Is that completed?

Will Red River access be restricted to university traffic though its new campus alignment? It was always a nice little alternative route from central Austin to downtown.

Good Question. It is not "suppose" to be. I think its why UT has already taken away restrictions on San Jacinto. You can drive thru campus there now.
BUT ..... it is UT.... they get what they want. So you never know.
At least I bet it will be restricted for game days..... which as someone who lives in the area... you avoid anyway!

Do we already know what's replacing the St. Davids campus? I remember seeing renderings of a few skyscrapers on that lot, but I don't know if that's still the plan.

That render....if I'm remembering correctly, was one of the sexiest clusters of high-rises we've ever had proposed (outside of railyard).

This is starting to make an impact on the Northern downtown skyline. It's now about the same height as the old Brackenridge Hospital.

The demolition of the actual tower itself didn't begin until November. They had a lot more to demolish including the children's hospital wings and other sections first.
