No, it's not a typical "Winnipeg story". Sorry, but I really hate when people label the city like that. This could also be a typical Regina story (Capital Pointe and stadium developments) or Saskatoon story (River Landing development Circle Drive construction) or Edmonton story (Downtown arena and city centre re-development projects) or [insert any other city here because it happens every bloody where] story, where they all got big time delayed, by years. There is no delay in this project, at least for me.

Sorry, but this is a huge pet peeve of mine and vent everytime I catch someone doing it.

You really have to read peoples posts, quote the entire post next time.I find no problem with the direction and time table the WCC is being consturcted on, as I quoted it is a head of schedule? They are currently in the process of talking to pontential tenants for the hotel at his time and hope to secure one by the fall also quoted?Let's wait and see. I'm defending the project? Do you understand now? I feel it's a negative article?

Relax

I think TV said the hotel will be better than a Hilton, guess we just have to wait and see...

True DD, it did contain more positive than negative, but appeared to be negative? I've found Bart doing this for some time, Someone actually gave me a link to a book he published, pretty depressing. Someone here will remember it.

I also remember that TV info somewhere?

Where are we at with this project? Almost 3 months without a post or pic. Are we at least getting close to grade yet?

If it wasn't so cold I'd head over there and snap a picture... they are really motoring along with construction on this project. Some parts of the structure are now above grade.

Hope they can finish this in time for the fall of 2015 as we are supposedly hosting the Grey Cup that year. We will need all that additional convention space for the various team party rooms.

It's up to the discretion of a moderator to make the change.

Maybe that fellow close to the 2nd heater (bottom right) is thinkin about it?

This weather is just crazy, I wasn't happy about having to head out in this weather when I was working in the trades.

Everything takes x2 as long and costs 2x as much to complete. Tough job.

hmmm.. I was certified to handle and transport explosives but not set them for use.

Sounds like a tricky business, wouldn't miss it at all.
