Hey Sam, Bill Norrie called; he wants his sports jacket back.

A couple of weeks ago I saw Sam Katz wearing the most god awful sports coat at Earls on Main. This photo does not do it justice. I mentioned it to someone who worked at City Hall and they told me he wears it every Wednesday. We described the colour as either electric or rasberry blue. The material is like a thick felt.

Anyone else seen this jacket?

I think that jacket should be subject to some sort of design review process.

That jacket looks like something out of the Cosby Show. It belongs on the clearance rack at Value Village much more than it belongs on our mayor...

Russ Wyatt won't allow a 35-storey tower on Main street, but they'll allow the mayor to wear that thing once a week?

I'm sure Andy6 will have kind words for Bill Norrie, who served on council and as mayor during Andy's halcyon Winnipeg years of the '70s and '80s.

By the way, what was the name of the right wing-ish party on council that Norrie was part of? ICEC? Something like that...

Whatshername, on CTV Newsnet, was wearing something like that, but bright yellow, and covered in big poofy buttons.

They'd make an amazing(ly ugly) couple.

Yup, Independent Citizens Electoral Committee or something like that. Andy will know.

I think Norrie's a little left leaning for Andy's tastes!
