Exurban development in the Winnipeg Capital Region

I have had a difficult time obtaining information on subdivisions or other developments in the small towns surrounding the city. With the proposed growth fees set to force lots of suburban development further afield, I thought it would be useful to have a thread specific to that topic.

Now that being said, I'm wondering if anyone has an inside scoop into Schinkel properties ?

I'm not sure about future development in some of the unincorporated communities in the Capital Region like Lorette, Oakbank and La Salle but Qualico has two significant developments coming up soon, Taylor Farm in Headingley and the expansion of Oak Bluff West. These two alone will probably close to double Oak Bluff's population in the next 5 years or so and Taylor Farm should easily add another 1,000 residents to Headingley in the near future.
Also, the Quarry Ridge Park development in Stonewall should grow that community to closer to 10,000 in about 20 years.

I wonder how many more years until the Winnipeg CMA boundaries coincide with those of the Manitoba Capital Region? Communities like Niverville (outside the CMA) are booming, and it's only a matter of years before Stonewall really starts to boom as Quarry Ridge develops. Almost all of those new residents are likely going to be commuting to Winnipeg for work.
The Manitoba Capital Region has about 860,000 residents as of this year, if CMA boundaries expand, the CMA could reach 1 million by about 2025/26.

I wonder how many people are buying riverfront properties based on the unspoiled view across the river. Which will be more houses looking back by the time they move in.

Are you sure about that? I checked Quarry Ridge Park plans, and it looks like Stonewall will be lucky to brak the 5,000 mark in the next 20 years. I can see Headingley growing to 5,000 residents, and Oak Bluff growing to about 2,000 people.

^It's supposed to be built in phases. A global news article from a year or two back mentioned it would double the town's population
