Hampton Inn and Suites - windows are being installed and the dirt area behind the hotel is where the hotel deck is going.
9 - story Project Slugger office tower
Artist rendering of baseball themed crosswalk at the intersection. Also a generic block building across the street which will be the site of Carroll's 20-story office tower. And a 9 story Aloft hotel and 6 story apartments over retail will be next to that. The intersection will resemble a baseball field and have statues of baseball players at each base.
Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts
Finally seeing some glass windows and doors.

Southeastern Building now apartments. This building was also Greensboro's first "skyscraper".
Dixie building on South Elm next to the Elm Street Center/future Westin Hotel. This is a gorgeous building that I could see being converted to a hotel like Hotel Indigo. Cincy's restaurant on the lower level, known for its chilly is one of downtown's oldest restaurants. Its been in operation since the 1980s.
The Guilford Building built in 1926 was originally supposed to be a hotel. Instead it was a bank headquarters. Today small businesses lease space in the tower but I would like to eventually see it being converted to a mixed use hotel/apartment tower. Its thr tallest building in the south end of downtown.
Many of these buildings were built in the 1800s.
New kiosk installed in the Southend district.
Boxcar Barcade
Mellow Mushroom
The old Blue Bell mill. Future home of Centric Brands
911 Memorial. Actually steel from the World Trade Center twin towers.

Glass going on the front facade of the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. The exterior is nearing completion.
Project Slugger/400 Bellemeade
You can see the construction fencing in the first photo set up for the 8 story city parking deck and Carroll's South of the Ballpark Project. Carroll's project will consist of a 20 story office tower which will stand on the corner directly across the street from the 9 story Project Slugger office tower going up. The project will also consist of a 9 story Aloft Hotel and 6 story apartments over retail lining the street. Also a grocery store. The parking deck will sit on the interior of the development.
The project planned for the fenced off area across from Project Slugger
20 story office tower and residential
The Aloft hotel with rooftop bar and pool.
Residential above retail
The downtown Hampton Inn and Suites is topping off.

The large Times Square style wrap around video board has been installed on the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. This is turning into a beautiful facility.
A few different angles of 400 Bellemeade. Should be seeing some wall framing going up pretty soon.

Looks like construction on the deck is beginning. Found some higher res photos of Carroll South of the Ballpark. The project will wrap around the 8 story parking deck currently under construction. It will be built directly across the street from the 9 story Project Slugger (400 Bellemeade) office tower currently going up.
I really hope the blue and yellow panels light up at night like similar panels at other Aloft Hotels. But I wonder if the rooftop bar/pool will be the wxyz bar or a separate bar on the roof. Most of the wxyz bars in Aloft hotels are on the ground level. What I love about the wxyz bars is that they are live music venues. This combined with the street level retail and restaurants in the rest of the development will really generate some decent pedestrian activity along Eugene Street which we are already seeing just north of the ballpark with several restaurants, breweries and a grocery store.

The video board can be seen far south along Elm Street. I must say it really sets this place off. By comparison, DPAC in Durham has a much smaller video board installed on a monument sign on the ground.

Planned downtown Aloft Hotel is be upgraded to an AC Hotel. The height has been increased to 12-stories and construction will begin before the end of the year. The hotel will be located south of the ballpark and across the street from the Hyatt Place that opened a year ago.
Carroll South of the Ballpark. Parking deck going up for the development which will have a 20-story office tower, midrise luxury apartments and the hotel brand is changing from an Aloft Hotel to an AC hotel. The hotel height has been increased to 12-stories and construction is set to begin on the hotel phase by the end of the year. The development is right across the street from the ballpark and the 9-story Project Slugger office tower going up. Last year construction wrapped up on the 6-story Carroll at Bellemeade Apartments and Hyatt Place Hotel on the east side of the ballpark.
