I miss Simplicity... in much the same way that I've been enlightened by the guys here with expertise in the design/construction fields, he shed a lot of light on the financial realities of developments in this city.

I agree. Simplicity added much value to this forum. He sure could get himself worked up though

I suppose that can happen when you provide an explanation, based on experience or knowledge, and others, without said expertise, attempt to argue points. Opinions are important, but there is a point when the line becomes blurred.

Since we're in a Simplicity nostalgia phase again, I don't miss him at all. He had a ridiculously negative and polarizing impact on almost every discussion. He was condescending and rude to an almost unbelievable measure. He dismissed and belittled any positive developments going on in the downtown, and had a strange hate-on for Mark Chipman and related conspiracy theories. He was kicked out on several occasions for his trouble. Other than that, he was great. I find the post-simplicity forum to be just as informative, and much more civil. Different tastes I guess.

Checking in for the Summer Session

Might as well see who is going to be around for the summer, do the checklist on who has departed and who still lingers on. Anyone seating behind the curtain, now is your chance to vent during the summer season when population and opinions are low.

At the end of summer, you may be able to pass through Lake Trashcona (Plessis Road underpass) both ways, just bring a fishing rod in case a black garage bag plugs the storm sewer again. I hear the fish are biting, and don't forget your helmet in Wyattville....

Have a great summer, guys, see you in the Fall.

Does anyone know what happened to esquire? He hasn't posted in 30 minutes. Hopefully he is still around, lurking maybe.
