Bad planning to me. The second phase opens up into a backside of a department store. Does that department store have to entries? Will that Urban Outfitters be SA's first?

It doesn't open up to the backside of a department store, that area is the food hall as well as a Kona Grill restaurant and yes there will be multiple entrances to phase II. No, that will not be SA's first Urban Outfitters, there used to be one on Broadway in Alamo Heights but I believe that closed two or three years ago. Phase II will be more "urban" than phase I.

Well, there was an "Urban Outfitters" on Broadway in the building that has the old Mobil horse on it that is lit red at night. Now that I think of it, I guess it was a Mobil gas station long ago. I assume it was the Urban Outfitters as it was in operations for quite awhile and you'd think the real UO would become sue happy.

That was a tootsie's for a long time in the mobil building, then it was a Ranch Outfitters. Never went under the name urban outfitters.

Bloomingdales? Before Dallas and Houston? I would be surprised if this happens.

Well, Bellevue, Washington and not Seattle or Portland got the first Neiman Marcus in the Pacific Northwest-- it's all in how things are marketed. Maybe they think they're getting a slice of an exclusive population, if it's true?

Wow, still a lot of undeveloped land right there at the corner.

Anyone know if there are plans for that parcel.

Looks like you could put a whole nother La Canterra there.

Well, there is more money in that part of the Pacific Northwest. Bellevue isn't that far from Seattle, either, and has a lot of businesses (more workers there than residents I believe).

Yes, but it proves a bit further that it's not the name of the city, it's the size of the carrot being dangled, and Bellevue's carrot is bigger than Seattle's.

Maybe someone in SA is floating a lot of incentives out there

Well, Bellevue is on the very rich side of the Seattle metro. Isn't it just as far out as La Centerra is to Downtown SA? Isn't Redmond, WA only a few miles away (where Microsoft is)?
