[SA] Public Input Sought at Transportation Meetings

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/loc...ion_plans.html

The meetings/workshops are open to the public and are hosted by the Metropolitan Planning Organization. MPO is using the input to update the Metropolitan Transportation Plan through 2035.

With funding for local transportation projects likely through the stimulus bill this is a great time to voice support for light rail. While other major cities are expanding their systems we have yet to even get a plan together.

Any forumers plan to attend?

I would like to attend to voice support for moving (pun intended!) SA into the 21st century. Houston is adding 4 lines to their light rail system, Austin is building, Dallas has a nice system, and here we are 10 years later (since 1999 vote)... still nothing.

Let's kick this inferiority complex and build something SA!
