Interesting interview with Mark Chipman in today's CBC news website. He clarifies the Jets financial situation and his perspectives on running the team.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manit...fits-1.7171250

I know it's been said before, but Winnipeg could not have a better team owner IMO. The contributions True North have made, and continue to make, are enormous. An ownership group like this is probably the only way an NHL team could function in an isolated, small market city like Winnipeg, outside of a billionaire who ran it as a vanity project.

Seattle not sold out yet. Vancouver is single seats only. Attendance was better much since the Christmas season.

1st round is basically sold out now. Mostly single seats. A couple groups left in the 4th home game (game 7).

Jets on a heater going into the playoffs. Just what the doctor ordered.

GO JETS GO!

If we go back to the return of the team to Winnipeg you couldn't even get a quarter season as they were fully allocated on full season and half season STH. Just because the playoffs will all be sold out does not mean there are not still issues with attendance.

As a reference point mid rows, 300 end seats for the playoffs are as follows:

First round - $98/seat
Second round - $114/seat
Conference Final - $130/seat
Stanley Cup - $195/seat

If you can lock in potential game 7 Stanley Cup tickets at $195/seat you are laughing. Now it is a whole different thing on if the current team has legs to pull that off.
Are these the STH prices? Looking at the regular gate prices I always wonder how anyone can afford to attend playoff games

Sorry my links arent working right now. Posting an image of the playoff ticket pricing sheet. It's about 50% of the walk-up pricing.

Pretty sure the upper deck will be over $300 for game one if you are not a STH. Especially now.

Hey got the link to work. Playoff pricing for STH is in the post above.

Upper deck seats were in the $250-$300 range on ticketmaster for round 1.

Edit: Some of the upper deck seats are going for $345 in the middle sections! Spicy. You can get a decent lower bowl seat for not much more than that.

Seems more like STH prices are about 1/3 of the walk-up price. We'll sell one of the first 2 games. It'll pay for the rest of round 1 for us.

One regular season game left before the playoffs. Does the team rest some players, and if so, who?

I don't think they should rest. Get the win over Van and get 4th overall in the league. Home ice advantage is important and could come into play for conference finals potentially vs Van again. Need to get ahead of them.

Jets are currently 7th place. Van 5th. 2 points for Winnipeg will tie them with Florida. Jets have the tiebreaker there so would get 4th.

Probably not. Maybe start Brossoit?

I just read that's what the Jets will do...start Brossoit and play the regular lineup.

He needed a few more starts (25) to be considered for the Jennings trophy. I think this will put him at 22.

From Mike McIntyre:
https://twitter.com/mikemcintyrewpg/...48125566455865

Some notes from optional #NHLJets skate today:
-Brossoit starts tomorrow
-Barron (lower body) won’t play, day to day. Not ruled out for Game 1
-All 5 scratches from last night expected to play
-They’ll address potential #MBMoose callups after their game tonight in Milwaukee

So looks like they're not pushing it for game 82. Maybe Van will float a similar line-up, although I'd expect Demko to get the start.

DeSmith is expected, I think.

Jets resting folks tonight. Call ups from the Moose. Likely Brossoit starting with Delia back-up.

Brock Boeser not travelling for Van. Hoping the Jets can pull out a win, with 2 goals or less against. Hellebuyck gets the Jennings if that's the case. Brossoit 2 games short of being eligible.

I'm having a hard time believing those are the 300s prices. The tickets available I've seen start at 230.00 on Ticketmaster.

If you look at the image I shared, those are the season ticket prices for playoffs. Walk-up price is about triple what STH pay. At least for me in the 300's. As you noted, it's almost $250 walk-up price for last row in the barn.
