The bar in that part of town has gone up in recent years and it looks like this one will get sandstone and granite, just like the previous Queen's Marque and TD developments.

There's a stately area around Province House that has a high concentration of medium scale older masonry buildings including some Art Deco masterpieces (Dominion and Bank of NS). Unfortunately many buildings around there have been torn down over the years (like the Royal Bank building and Customs House) but these new developments are expanding that area a bit again. The last piece would be an overhaul of the foot of George Street, law courts, and Chebucto Landing.

Looks like you fixed the problem on this one... here's my reply anyway to you in the Toronto Compilation thread where none of your links worked:

Works for me when I use the SSP link tool and paste in the file address from your UrbanToronto posts.

eg.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4Ohn...d-bbee8e0481b9

Looks like you have an extra http:// in the links you posted for some reason. Eg. below:

http://https://www.instagram.com/ree...d2bWJlZWpzaWs1

There is an actual INSTA code for use here but I forget what it is lol. But as mentioned, the file address from your UT posts will link properly here.

Weird. Last I looked, Bloor Dufferin applied to erect 3 towers but, the photos shows cores being built for all 5.

Rogers Centre Renovations | Phase 2 | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous l nearing completion

This is why it’ll never be Rogers Center… it’s SkyDome!! Open in March lol. Almost done the Phase 2 renos reshaping/aiming the rest of all seating from the outfield to behind the plate.

The construction management team deserves applause to pull this off in just 5 months. Maybe hire them to complete The One (from 56 to 91 floors in just 9 months lol).

This is a crazy shot. Huge transformation, and the even crazier thing about it - I actually like it!

I remember years ago - long before any of these towers were even a glimmer in the eyes of a developer - thinking that I'd like to see Yonge (and other downtown commercial streets like Queen) develop like this: with the low-rise heritage shopfronts retained in full, and high-rises built up on the back lots and side streets. So it's cool to see it actually happening now. Helps that the towers going up along Yonge are also generally a bit higher in quality than most of those elsewhere in the city.

Totally agree!! Hopefully more of this on Yonge when possible... though there's a clutch of facade retention only talls in the pipeline.

Maldive - what an incredible series of photos! Mind boggling, epic scale, beautiful geometry and collision of urban forces for good and evil, lol. Each photo is full of eye candy, lots to chew on - thanks for sharing.

Love em all - this one stands out:

Whoever is taking these pics deserves this jacket I observed on an 80+ year old man I saw in Victoria a couple weeks ago. Clearly this is the SSP equivalent of the high school football letter jacket. He better not go to Toronto or he’ll die of a heart attack.
