It has officially grown into my field of view at work. And the middle tower isn't topped off yet! I'm going to have a great view of this ... for now.

I think my favorite thing about this part of downtown is seeing the wide range in architectural style and various generations of buildings in the LSE and Illinois Center area. From train yards to this. Truly impressive and almost finished!

^NIIICE.

Looks like the formwork has reached the next setback, give or take a floor.

Can anyone with more time than me determine when we'll hit supertall status? (984')

That pic from the Aqua is awesome! I'm excited for this thing to top out.

Why do the diagrams have this listed at 1,199 feet now? Is that just a typo or was there a tiny height increase?

^ Yeah, that is weird. I'd imagine its a typo; I haven't heard of any height changes to Vista at all.

I drove in from O'hare for the first time in a while today and couldn't help but notice that Vista is already looking utterly epic from the Kennedy.

Pardon the out of town interruption but I'm a bit confused .

When first listed , the tower was set at 1186 '
Then after the Wanda part of the listing was dropped it grew to 1191 '
Today in the data base it is listed at 1199 '

So , what's up Doc ....

1,191' is the most consistent, recent figure I've heard. I think 1,186' is outdated and 1,199' is just a typo.

As far as the floor count who knows, I've heard 93, 95, 98 and now 101

I never understood the 93 or 95 floor counts that various articles used. I believe it's 98 above grade according to the diagrams/drawings that were dropped long ago, and that would mean you could call it 101 above ground.

The way it’s looking it could legitimately be 1,200 ft . Seen it yesterday by the planetarium and was like Got Damn

From North Ave. Beach during the Air and Water show. Pretty great caper to the weekend with this view. The planes weren't too shabby either

bonus shot of those badass jets

^ Great pics, dude! I didn't get a chance to checkout the A&W show this weekend, but I certainly heard plenty of jets in the sky all day yesterday and today, lol

Yeah, they rumbled through downtown so much on Friday that they even distracted me at work. Amazing how powerful those planes are
