Calgary - panos and shots taken from Park Hill

I took these on a beautiful warm evening a few night ago.

Calgary as seen from Park Hill, a cool little neighborhood south of downtown

A few single shots

Typical houses of Park hill itself, deserving of their own thread.

Great first pano. Love the houses at the end. I plan to take some pictures of Calgary's best neighbourhoods sometime in the near future.

Beautiful shots Surreal. Funny how Calgary is always talked about as being treeless. You'd never know it by your pictures.

This shot is fantastic. The varying topography and the different kinds of trees and colours are gorgeous. I like how we have a nice mix of coniferous and deciduous trees in this city. I love those modern houses too.

What part of the city do you live in? One of my trees had buds on it in late March!

Awesome pictures! I like the green look the city has. Calgary seems much more greener than when I moved here in the 90's.

I like this shot also. A good contrast between modern homes, and the old mansion style in the background.

It's probably because I have a newer tree. My house was just built a year ago.

That would make sense. Newer trees do take longer to catch up. I have a Matday in tha backyard that's probably 40 years old, and it gets buds late March and leaves on it around mid April.

It also depends on what part of the city has well. Some parts of the city take longer regardless of how mature the tree is. Edgemont on the top of the hill is a good example.
