^^^ Isn't that the cool part though? It's pretty much going to be there for thousands of years. Perhaps someone in a future civilization eons in the future will be excavating the now totally buried city of Chicago and dig down far enough to find it?

Exactly....nothing is permanent...maybe one day in 1000 years(if we are still here) someone will find this capsule and marvel or laugh at whats inside

It was originally designed to be 1,011 ft, but was subsequently downsized.

I'd say BMO and WPS are the best bets, hopefully. 1000m coming in third.

Nah, 1000M is still dead last in my book and maybe only edges out Trib2 because of it being on the market for so much longer and not having to wait out some renovation project. 400LSD is totally happening at some point soon or Related will lose the zoning.

Drove past this site today. It feels absolutely massive and so busy. Four caisson rigs, a crawler crane, excavators and earth movers. Feels way different than Vista’s site work. I can’t think of any comparable project over the years. What a treat for us skyscraper construction nerds.

Though I'm far from being an expert, one notable difference is that there will be so much excavation for this project. For Vista, however, the massive subterranean "tub" was already there when work started.

I think it's also that Vista only had one main street fronting it (Wacker), whereas this site is surrounded on all four sides with high-traffic roads. This is much more in the heart of Chicago, and not in an ultra-elite subdivision that requires a real detour to visit.

I wonder how many tower cranes will spring up for this site in a few months? my guess is 4 due to it being such a massive site.

Feels different than vista because at this site you're face-to-face, whereas Vista, you were looking down upon.

Close, you should expect 3... One for each tower and a third for the podium.

I was under the impression that they are building the podium first and then one tower at a time. Can someone verify?

The two towers will come up slightly ahead of the podium. The contractors want to get the towers on a typical cycle as quickly as possible, with the podium following behind.

^ Wow, great intel and brilliant schedule. I have to imagine the podium is as much work, if not more, than the shorter tower. It will be interesting to see if completion of all three “areas” is near the same time
