I take it this is only the beginning for really tall towers in Journal Square? Just another reason why I wish they would have run a PATH line up and down Hudson and Bergen County through Journal Square rather than the silly light rail they went with.

Yup this is just phase 1.

Besides these developments currently rising, more will come. The area is becoming desirable. JC in general has made great strides since 2004.

It should also be the largest city in NJ, overtaking Newark by the end of the year if not already.

There are something like eight 500+ towers announced for Journal Square, as well as additional shorter towers.

That is crazy, so good to see JC really taking off. As much as I hated living on the Jersey side and so far away from Oregon, I did become fond of JC. My wife and I are looking forward to one day going back and visiting many years from now just to see how much has changed. I would never want to live outside of Oregon again, but it was definitely an interesting two year adventure for us.

This is patently false. Census population estimates as of July 1, 2015:
Newark: 281,944
Jersey City: 264,290

Newark still has 17,000 more people than Jersey City...at the current rate of population growth it'll take until at least 2020 for Jersey City to surpass Newark.
