Meh. I want to see the Times Square from the bad old days. The Taxi Driver days. The Panic in Needle Park days.

^yeah!! I remember my first trip to Times Square in 1986. Porn theatres, Hookers, Addicts, and Conmen. Squalor.

-I loved it.

A few years earlier (late 60s? Krakatoa premiered in 1969)

I always feel Times Square is that part of the city that doesn't fit in, from the skyline it looks so different from the rest of the city. Something like a Larkin Building would've helped dramatically. But it's much better today than the prostitutes of 20 years ago.

I was too young at the time (mid 90's) to really get a feel for the atmosphere in the city, however just by watching that footage the atmosphere back then was clearly different from nowadays . . . and it wasn't really that long ago.
