LOS ANGELES | Constellation Place | 491 FT | 35 FLOORS | 2003 |

Contrary to popular belief, Cal Plaza 2 in downtown was not the last office tower to be built in Los Angeles when it opened in 1992. In 2003 opened the MGM Tower (later Constellation Place) in Century City (a skyscraper district about 10 miles west of downtown Los Angeles).

All of the buildings in Century City are the best examples of the era they were designed in and Constellation Place is no different. It has a pretty interesting design that doesn't try to be anything other than what it is: modern, and handsome and a nice addition to the Century City skyline.

Except for The Century But yeah, I love this building. Elegant, austere, and used asymmetrical vertical lines before they became cool.

Scott Johnson designs really nice facades. I'd love to see them do a tower downtown at some point.

The skyline of Century City, alone, is the size of some mid-size cities.
