SA - Brooks City-Base Update > Large Scale Mixed-Use Redevelopment

Now being developed as a large scaled mixzed-use development focusing on research and development in both the bioscience and biomedical fields.



Brooks City-Base comprises approximately 1,250 acres, with over 300 acres available for immediate development.

Already built:

550,000 Square Foot City-Base Landing Retail Center
260,000 Square Foot DPT Laboratories research, development, manufacturing and distribution facility.

Under Construction/Soon to begin construction:

24 Million Dollar 37,000 square foot Emergency Operations Center
250 Million Dollar Baptist Hospital and Medical Facilities.
450,000 Square Foot Mixed-Use Retail/Office Center to be built behind City-Base Landing.
Hotel
300 Condos and Townhomes
Much more

I know they also want to put a movie theatre there as well. Behind the Sam's Club.

That little area was home to basically nothing two years ago. Now it is home to over 1 million square feet with another 700,000 square feet of retail.
