Hey everybody-- my Weston Centre model was accepted into Google Earth's 3D Buildings layer, so it should be there when you open it up. Only problem is it's the first version I did, without the parking garage and foyer, so it's not 100% accurate.

Great looking models guys! I am continually impressed at how good you guys are with Sketchup. Those Weston Center models are awesome and that Grand Hyatt model is spectacular (so much detail in that).

Here's the latest on the GH. There are a few minor facade detail errors that I couldn't help. Can anybody figure out what they are??!! (And no, it's not the line running diagonally through the screenshot ) If it takes you a minute, then I'd say it's probably not a big deal and isn't really noticeable?

Just modeled the Granada Apts (formerly the Plaza Hotel) and uploaded it to 3D Warehouse. It's that cool old building next to the Tower Life Building, if you don't remember. Also uploaded the more accurate Weston Centre with the garage and bank lobby. Here's some screencaps in GE:

Awesome!

So is that building normal apartments? Someone said it was an old folks high rise now.

Yeah, it's a "senior-living" style place now. Probably because the units are all the size of hotel rooms. I'd be very interested to go in there and check it out. It seems like an interesting candidate for redevelopment. That whole development on Bowen Island (which is not an island anymore), with the Tower Life Building is fascinating.

Thing is it could've been even better if it hadn't been for the Great Depression

Awesome model, though. I can't wait to see the TLB herself!

Awesome! I had seen those listed in my "Uploaded by your contacts" list. It's one of my favorite buildings in San Antonio. I love the detail on that building.

Did the Crowne Plaza Hotel. I plan to re-clad the Weston Centre and the Milam with textures from Virtual Earth, because they look better from a distance than my home-made ones.

Edit: MY models are all in the 3D Warehouse here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...6430&scoring=m
