That is fucking awesome.

I bet is sounds great. But such a treat just to look at.

Now have that stacked with

Tuner,EQ, Dual tape deck and to top it off...Techniques 1200..... Or 2.

That's old school. A computer is all you need nowadays. I put an Asus soundcard (only 200$) in my computer, so the sound quality is just as good as any ridiculously priced cd player. Soundcard acts as preamp so right to power amp. Inexpensive but great sounding set up.

Yup. However since I have a music studio, it is soundcard to mixer (Soundcraft EPM8) to speakers (Rokit 8s) and headphones (AKG K271).

I'd put this rig up against anyone who thinks they can get better sound out of a computer amplifier

Yeah it all looks good and it's fun to try out new equipment. Record players can be especially nice to look at, to me anyways.

Maybe consider getting an D/A converter for your laptop (if you don't already have one). Something like Cambridge Audio DacMagic, which are relatively inexpensive second hand. Might be something worth trying out.

I'm guessing he's anti-oil, and/or you're being slyly sarcastic.

No k.d. lang either. I'll just add Neil to the pile of 'Canadian' talent I'll never support.

very cool. Corb Lund at Commonwealth would be sweet and I've always wanted to see Ian Tyson.

I humbly retract my statement regarding Ms. lang. It also looks like she'll contribute in another way (Toronto benefit concert for Fort Mac):

I'm glad about this. Her duet with Roy Orbison is one of the best duets of all time, in my opinion.

Exceptionally meh.

Unlike Oh Wonder last night, magical. First Canadian gig. Lany as an opener was a slow start, but turned out to pair exceptionally well.
