Hit up La Patrone on Saturday night. Small room but well worth the trip to the Park. One of the best Mexican style meals I have had. In some time. The room was almost wheelchair accessible as well. dinner for 2 plus a few extra beer with a generous tip cam to $85.00.

Sunday tried to get into Winstons. Not wheelchair accessible, Apparently its a heritage building so they can't install a ramp. May try when the wife is walking again.

And finally hit up BRU on Sunday after the Remembrance day ceremonies. Nice room good coffee, a bit noisie and they accommodated a wheel chair.

Anyone been yet? The interior design looks great and I am curious about their take on some of these dishes.

The gnocchi at Bundok is possibly the best I've ever had.

This might sound oddly specific, but can anybody recommend a ramen place in Edmonton that does a great tantanmen using pork broth?

Two Sargent's Brewing is now open. Beer is good and just about to try the food. Nice to see they are promoting other micro breweries as well . They have a guest list.

Was at the downtown Cora, which is south of Jasper/106 St in the Days Inn hotel. Food was good as expected. The restaurant was completely dead except for 1 table with four people. The waiter said they only opened this month and rarely advertise themselves. So I expect the usual downtown booster-hipster types to ring its praises!

Went to a movie downtown, 10:05 on a Friday. 8 people in total.
It's great for us to be able to roll up at 10:04 and get the prime seats, but on the other hand a bit depressing how under utilized that theatre still is.

Let's Grill on Jasper/107st last night for some Izakaya. We tried 9 dishes, all were tasty, but I had hoped for a couple of standout. Definitely brought me back to my trips to Japan and the many Izakaya we went to. Such a fun place to go after work with a larger group for snacks and drinks.

Spicy juicy beef Kushi
Pork belly Kushi
Agedashi tofu
Tako Yaki
Chicken Karaage
Unagi Don
House roll - tuna/salmon/shrimp/fish eggs
Soy paper TNT - crab/avocada/shrip/fish eggs
Crunchy spicy tuna

Ugh... how/when did sushi get ruined by being over-slathered with mayo variants, or any kind of sauce for that matter? Sad to see how many sushi places have gone that route.
