A web cam, in my opinion, is a good thing. I don't think they would put up a web cam if the intentions were to only do a little clean up project and let it sit.

I think that those have been on site for at least a week or 2. Can't recall the exact day they appeared, but I do walk by the site everyday.

Yes, there have been steel I-beams on site for several days, but I believe there was a flatbed truck on site very early this morning with more of them.

You can see the pile driver pounding them in along the west wall of the NCO Building

That webcam is just a god-send for updates. No second guessing the progress of a build. Seems to be something you don't see with any frequency in the Peg but often used in Regina.

Nice to see the webcam. Definitely shoring against the North Canadian Oils Building now.

Definitely. A little surprised it's live though... usually these things have had a couple minutes delay.

'Drove by today and, not only did they remove the south basement wall, the dug out beneath the Vic Ave sidewalk. I don't know whether or not the sidewalk is blocked off, but I hope that it is.

They blocked off all of the South sidewalk, part of the West sidewalk (and ripped up a couple feet of sidewalk to get behind the foundation wall for bracing (I'm assuming regarding the reason), as well as the lanes of traffic bordering the site.

There is a sign that says no pedestrians where the lane on Vic is blocked, but it's partially being ignored.

I understand the city doesn't want people going straight through the Albert/Victoria intersection heading North from the far right lane, but who is really going to do that? Really? It's created a total Charlie Foxtrot at the intersection and I'm sure the gas station loves having everybody turning right onto Victoria going through it to do that when they pull into the turning lane and then realize, "crap, it's blocked!?!"

Put some signs up the block prior and that should be enough.

Is it just me or are they currently back filling hole left behind the old Plains Hotel foundation?

Were they maybe backfilling the hole under the sidewalk noted abvoe? I'm unsure of the exact layout on site.

Would make sense. An Alberta company is doing the site-prep right? Home for the holidays then back at it in Jan?

More believable than past instances anyway...

The HQ is Alberta, but they have a location here. So that's not really the explanation.
