I am told that the Food Hall will open the week of the 9th but LOTW is on hold while they brew.

I meant that as yes, there are handicap stalls, but not sure if tenants can actually reserve them 24 hours for themselves or if they are also scramble (still only for pass holders).

Looks like they removed the ramp down into the hole and will be getting the main floor slab ready for concrete. Anyone know why the leave the basement slab to be poured after they get the main floor slab done? I think the lower level is still gravel.

There were some photos posted elsewhere, cant remember where, showing the interior of some suites. Looked really nice, as do the screen caps.

I did the tour before they started renting them out. They're definitely very nice.
Almost took one. But the suites weren't worth the cost for the size for me. The top floor shared areas could make up for it for many people. The balcony is spectacular, as is the 'dining hall'.

I took some pictures, but there were much better ones somewhere back in this thread

Yeah the rooms are beautiful, amazing windows and mostly really great layouts that maximize space. One of the first buildings in Winnipeg to follow the new trend of small bedrooms and more living space. I'm a big fan of that because why does the room I just sleep in need to be huge... would rather more living space.

They're certainly not cheap, but I found the rates reasonable, aside from the penthouses of course. You can get a great deal in the middle floors. TBH where that building is, you don't really get that much of a better view going higher. It's all kinda meh haha.

The food hall is on the second floor, main floor is just an entrance and maybe where the grocery store is going? So likely just focusing on getting the main hall done for opening.

How is the heating done? Central heat (can't control it in the suite) or electric baseboard ($ and more dangerous).

Looking at the virtual tours, I see vents in the bulkhead so probably forced air heat.

Utilities are included in the rent so if its electric it won't cost any more

You can absolutely control central heat in an apartment. My parents live in 1 Evergreen and that's how it is. The vents open and close to let air in. IIRC at 225 Carlton it's central heat with a thermostat in the suite.

^^ Most well designed new buildings will have purpose designed zone systems for HVAC systems. Basically powered dampers on common pipes so when an area needs attention it opens the damper but when its good it shuts it off. Likely toss in some communication back to the master controller than runs the whole system so it can turn off if there is no active demand.
