Regina | Pre-Bid Projects / Rumors

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to start a new thread in regards to new projects that may be in the horizon for Regina, Sask.

I work for the Regina Construction Association and we are always searching for new construction projects that the public does not know about yet. (Called pre-bids)

I am wondering if there is any insider information so to speak, that anyone would like to share.

I also would be interested in chatting with consultants/architects about any upcoming projects that they are looking to get bids on.

Let me know

Thanks!

Trevor

I would suggest your best bets are cmdgroup.com project leads and Regina Planning Commission minutes both available online.

I would also suggest not coming in here for your business deals.

Construction associations do not do business deals.

The RCA (and the other Local Construction Associations) are simply trying to provide their members with information on upcoming projects and their pre-bid service is actually in competition with the CMD reports. I don't think that is contrary to the spirit of the SSP forum rules.

That being said, Trevor, I'd think it's unlikely that this forum will yield much of value for you. You'll get a lot of rumour, which you don't want to be publishing but very little else that isn't already public knowledge. The good stuff won't be getting posted here.

They're coming in here looking for projects for people to bid on. Business. Pretty sure its against SSP policy to do business on the forum.

But yeah, like Crisis said. Probably will get a lot of rumours.

Agreed. If I was working on a design build project, there's no way I'd post about it on a public forum, especially to someone who may try and investigate further so it gets put on the bid board for everyone to pick up on.

No offense to original poster intended at all.

We'll leave this thread open for the time being and see where it leads for posts and the line of discussion it entails. As a rumor thread for upcoming projects/proposals I'm fine with it but Regina construction would work equally well for this line of discussion. Thread creation is great, but duplicity just tends to clutter this particular sub-forum.

Thread title edited.

I think we don't need thread sprawl involving Regina construction. I'm not sure what having this separate from the Regina Construction thread will accomplish.

IMO of course.

Nothing, my point exactly.
