Matt... You're gonna have to change that subject.. They upped it again.

From a 22 and 12-story building, to a 23 and 25 story building.

...or do you think that was an error??

Booyahhh!!

There hasn't been too much going on, at least visably, since last time. I took a few shots because the light was so good, but it's too bad the wider shots of the riverfront didn't turn out.

Anyway, here's the latest....

Meanwhile, work on the River tower continues....

Okay.

I'm over the shorter tower. I wanna see the tall one go up now.

Hurry, River tower... HURRY!

A few more shots of the apartment tower.

I'm assuming that the greyish material is the finished facing. From the rendering I thought it would be concrete, but thankfully it looks like it's not. Also, it looks like the bottom few floors are getting their interior finishes.

The site for the parking garage is graded. Looks like they're tearing out the footing for the tower crane, too. I'd still like to know where they are putting the new tower crane to building the River Tower.

The tower looks good from the new park, and A Street is finally starting to look somewhat finished. The area is going to look great when this project is finished in late 2006.

Nice pictures, MGLAN. I will be nicely satisfied when they finish the top section of glass toward the back. It will look totally complete from that angle at the time.

I am not sure if I appreciate that recessed-window thing going on in the building.

As it gets finished, it's looking very much like a Wilmington rowhome on some crazy steroids. I like it though.

The construction continues. In walking past the site, I noticed yet another clutch of piles ready to be pounded in. It looks like this may be the last bunch since this looks like the last corner left. No photos of this since it sort of got me down. The Residences looks like the interior work is up to the 8th floor or so, and the the penthouse glass is slowly closing up. The last bits of facia are going on, too.

Beautiful morning and beautiful light on the water and the tower...

And I thought I'd take a few from the roof since it was so nice.

Oh yeah, and Delaware won a brutal one! Delaware 34 Lehigh 33

I've been noticing how much the rest of the installed glass facade on the back is really making the cake.

I'm able to really appreciate its beauty now.

I'm still curious as to what they'll do on the front view of the tower, as it still looks VERY incomplete towards the top.

Keep 'em comin Mglan

I didn't realize that it had been over a month since there'd been a post on here. Anyway, here's the update:

A Street is nearly completely rebuilt. It's been raised approximately 2.5' with brick sidewalks, street lights, and on street parking. The sod on the lawns are incredibly green and soft. Makes me wish I had a lawn!

The penthouses are pretty much glassed in, but the roof still needs its facia. I'd love to have that view and that balcany.

The lobby looks like it's getting some work.

The parking garage will be just to the left of this pit. I have no idea what this pit is for. Anyone? Kelvin?

And, finally....the pile caps for the River Tower are being formed up! There may be concrete pouring by Halloween!

Also: the man-lift came down early last week, and the interior work is plugging along. I'd still like to know where they are going to put that tower crane for River Tower's construction. No sign of any foundation for it yet.

I noticed the finishing touches with the lightposts, etc.. on "A" Street. It has really changed the look of the area.

I am definitely satisfied as far as the top glass of the Residences, in addition to the metal <?> on the front outline of the building. It definitely tells you the building is modern.

However, I can't ascertain what is foundation work for the parking garage, and what is for the River Tower. Maybe I just need to get out of my damned car and take a look.

Either way, sweet pics.

A view from the inside, courtesy Kitchen Guy...

And an update on the pile cap construction. Looks like the grade beam will be poured in place, Kitchen Guy.

And one of the western elevation:

^I've been wondering that myself. I'd imagine the mech/penthouse would be floodlit.

Also, I think I know where the tower crane for the garage and River Tower will be: there's a lone ~6' x 6' square sticking out of the "box" of piles. It's maybe 5.5' to 6' from the street, so it'll be interesting to see this one go up so close to Market Street. Which brings up another point: just how the building will "address" the street. Will there be an entrance off Market, or some retail, or just a glassed in lobby?

Sorry for all the " ".
