Hopefully they can will fix the mistake in the curtainwall pattern that occurs 6 floors below the roof in that last picture. The dark and light stripes have been inverted.

It looks the best from the distance, since the low glass quality isn't visible

It looks a hell of a lot better than the Coast and that AMLI building u/c, IMO...
Yeah, except that's not actually what it looks like. That photo is HDR and not reflective of what you actually see in real life. In person all you see is the washed out, saran wrappy, effect shown in JM Tunsten's pictures above.

Meanwhile the The Coast actually looks good in real life and has some stunning effects with its fritted glass. I don't understand how anyone thinks this building is attractive on any level, let alone thinking it looks better than The Coast. Also, nice observation Andrew, just further indication of how ridiculously cheap the quality of the materials and, apparently, work on this building are. I'm willing to bet Related will be too cheap to fix it. In any case, I'm going to send them an email to see if they are aware of that error and if they'll fix it. I think this happened on that one Columbia College facade job didn't it? Did they ever end up fixing that?

^ Great set as always, Harry. I have a thing for skyscrapers casting shadows on neighboring skyscrapers--something very 'welcome to the big city' about that..

I think this turned out better than many were expecting. I actually like how they added some variation to the garage's facade, particularly the dark horizontal glass on the lower levels.

Now is the garage going to have any active ground level space, or is it essentially a cold glass fortress?

That is arguably one of the best looking parking garages in the city..the developer did a great job at covering it in decent looking material so it doesnt look like such a bligh like many other parking garages plopped under highrises throughout the city ... this is what the Eco garage next to Almi should of been clad in!

^ Agreed.

I had my reservations about this tower from the beginning, but now seeing it mostly complete, I think it turned out very well. It's not spectacular by any means, but it is more than decent infill. I love love LOVE the glass they used on the parking podium; that black glass used to wrap around the podium/southwest corner of the main tower is also quite nice.

I don't know how this building ever accumulated so many haters. It looks stunning in that night time shot. I'm not sick of blue glass yet.

Turned out a lot more impressive than expected! The parking grarge is indeed well integrated. To the untrained eye it would probably just look like another part of the tower. Very well done, a new landmark for Chicago!

Because that nighttime shot is not at all how this tower looks to the human eye. As was already explained.

I think this tower turned out pretty good. Sometimes it's better to wait before judging. I'm guilty of thinking this looked like it was going to be a stinker.

That south wall of the parking garage is very interesting. The tile they are installing now jives in a good way with the blue and black glass. Nice updates george.

I always really liked this one! I think it's the best looking tower in this latest crop, and I can't wait to see what the living wall is going to look like. I really like the base of this too.

I'm glad North Pier remains on the south side. It's low-rise, so it allows plenty of sunlight to the park. It also forms a great streetwall with lots of windows, no blank walls, and plenty of character, so the park feels enclosed.

Taken Sunday. Although I wish the shading on the glass was a bit more dramatic, I think it's actually a pretty decent-looking tower.
