I'll jump on the "Katy Station looks better than I thought it would" train.

They set everybody's expectations so low with no rendering for such a long time and then eventually releasing a very low fidelity rendering. Frankly, I think people were mostly happy to see brick, rather than 100% stucco like they've done elsewhere.

Anyway, I like it too. It's in such a dramatic spot when you're heading south on 35. Between this and the AMLI tower across the freeway on Hi Line, you can barely see Downtown anymore from the freeway! hahaha

^ You'll be happy to know that Victory Park has design standards to adhere too and one of those items is no or very limited stucco. That's one of the big reasons the tower is being built using brick.

Stucco just looks cheap and bad. Brick is superior and looks great.

Some standards.

SkyHouse and Victory Parkside are anything but quality.

Cinepolis

Is the Cinepolis going to be around the same height of Skyhouse and EY tower? I keep seeing the construction and hoping it will be taller.

^^^ You know I've seen that name in the renderings but LMC refers to this as "The 23", so I'm wondering what the real name will be.

It's funny because the Katy name comes from the MKT (Katy) Railroad. Literally a train.

http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2016/11/21/m...mens-hospital/

Quote:
Medical City Dallas will invest $125 million to create Women’s Hospital, a "luxurious destination" that will feature VIP suites, concierge amenities and chef-prepared meals when it opens in 2018.
Quote:
Last week, the for-profit health facility operator also announced name changes for its Dallas-Fort Worth locations, and plans to commit $1.5 billion to expand, improve its locations and introduce new services.
Quote:
The Women's Hospital will add five new floors to an existing tower of Medical City Dallas, and include spa-like bathrooms, a nursery, upgraded linens and "spectacular views." Construction begins this month and will tentatively end in March 2018.

Hey Guys,
quick question.
do the metal "brackets" on the side of buildings have a specific name?
EX: The Richards Group Building has the metal braces below the windows.

Thank you in advance!

Are there plans for the Little Mexico Village? Seems like prime real estate, but I don't know the situation there.
