Isn't there one just 10 miles up I35?

I believe he's referring to the colors used in the completed northern section.

Yes, on University Blvd in Round Rock. Typically a clusterfuck but not as bad as when it first opened.

There's also one at my local highway interchange, Slaughter Lane / Mopac

There is also one at HWY 80 and I-35 in San Marcos. I've been using that one for years (I think it was the first one in the Metro.) and it has really improved that intersection.

They are growing in popularity in the area as others have pointed out with DDIs at 35 and University and Mopac and Slaughter.

They also want to put diverging diamond at 360 and 2222, 360 and 2244, 35 and Airport Blvd, and a form of DDI/Continuous Flow at Airport Blvd and N. Lamar.

I believe that is technically a continuous flow intersection and not a DDI.

Any news on when the Airport Blvd overhaul is scheduled for? My friend who is a biking advocate said that it is the next in line to receive bike lanes.

In general Airport (and all the corridors) has construction scheduled 2021-2024.

I didn't make it to the Airport open house, so I'm not sure if it has specific "Early Out" projects/potential projects (e.g. for Burnet, the Braker intersection).

There isn't money for what I posted. The airport blvd improvements from the 2016 bond will start late next year and take a few years. This is the schematic that has funding and will be built:

Save Our Springs is suing to stop the Oak Hill highway project. They sucesssfuly stalled other southwest Austin highway projects years with similar lawsuits.

Also, the Lacross bridge at South Mopac is delayed due to finding some recharge holes going into the springs.

What exactly is Save Our Springs' solution to the traffic in the area? Just curious. They seem intent on killing any and all projects, even those that have absolutely nothing to do with them.

Their "solution" is for traffic to get so bad in the area that people stop moving to that region of Austin. It's been the same M.O. of NIMBY's for the past 60+ years.

Nothing super eye opening in the new Blue Line materials. No good info on how to integrate with the airport or how they are going to cross I-35.

-It's interesting they're looking into the option at shifting the line to Red River instead of staying on Trinity until Dean Keaton.
-Worth noting that the only segments not looking into grade separations are East Riverside and Highland.

And what's wrong with that? Austin can grow in every other direction unconstrained.

Sprawl is not the solution.
