North Campus still has a lot of rundown old turn-of-the-last-century homes that students rent but the prices are sky high now.

I am guessing proximity to campus and student parties has kept North Campus from turning upscale, because the house stock certainly could support it.

This was taken from the West 22nd parking garage.

I was actually able to find it. I took some photos with my friend up there this past week. It's a hell of a view of downtown. Makes you feel like you're in a different city.

I hope the link works for me this time.

Edit: can't seem to figure why the image links never work for me. Ah well.

Here's the actual link of the Instagram shot I took of my friend at this location.

I agree. We don't see many shots of the skyline from the North and it’s the only view that shows how dense Austin truly is.

Seriously, why is this an actual thing that occurs again and again in this city?
Maybe I just do not appreciate a good compromise.

Sounds like Urbannizer was eating at pluckers (or if not, you should have been)

Really? What don't you like about it? I am a big fan of 1. buildings not taking up entire lots, and 2. preserving existing structures. I enjoy the juxtaposition (and I'm a recent West Campus resident). It does look a little funky

We went to pluckers on that day of the shoot. I guess I hadn't been there for some time but, man, I think their quality has gone down. I remember going there back before when it was in that original old building before they built that high rise that is there now. Maybe I'm just over wings, or I've seen them improve in other restaurants.
