^Awesome updates, Harry. I'm a bit nervous how the Home2 hotel is going to look on the street (the renderings didn't seem too inspiring). Hopefully it turns out alright.

Also looking forward to seeing cladding go up on 56 Huron and Renelle.

New 26 story, 246 unit high rise issued a new construction permit for the corner of 53rd and Cornell in Hyde Park. Currently a surface parking lot (https://www.google.com/maps/place/52...8!4d-87.586035). Right near Harper Court and the 51st/53rd St Metra Stop.

This is a bummer. It would have been perfect there.

They're too busy in China and the Middle East.

Are the structural supports metal enclosed caissons, or large steel supports a la the Daley Center?

Love the tower portion, and glad a parking lot is biting the dust. But that podium... not a fan.

I really wish Chicago passed some legislation banning parking podiums that are visible from the street. Residential/commercial wrapped around a parking core? Good. Placing it entirely underground? Better.

I’d love to see the city give generous FAR bonuses for projects that line all public facing parking podiums with liner units.
