Actually, I believe that they are talking about a maximum of 800 spots (including visitor). This will be for an estimated 2000 employees as well as the contractors that will run the place. Since there is pretty much no private parking in the area, they are heavily encouraging transit use.

New aerials

[deleted]

To get a sense of scale, that's quite a big Chapters directly across from it, and that's the entire Gloucester mall in the top right part of the photo.

Just found these on the architects website.

These buildings would make a beautiful airport.

It's too bad that those renderings are the closest that the general public will ever get to those buildings. National secrets apparently deserve good architecture.

This irritates me. Why can't all new fed buildings be this attractive?

The campus without 6 cranes has a much lower profile.

The 6 cranes gave it a grand quality - looks bare now.

Personal opinion: some days I wish that Library and Archives Canada had been the beneficiary of this construction project instead. Would that have been a bad thing?

Would be a beautiful venue for LAC to show off some of the national collection, wouldn't it?

I think the roof might be done, finally.

I wonder what the snow will do as it melts?
