Went by last night and this site is HUGE! It's kind of a shame they've plopped a massive parking garage at the front of it, however... Given it's proximity to Blair Station, they should encourage people to bus!
Actually, I believe that they are talking about a maximum of 800 spots (including visitor). This will be for an estimated 2000 employees as well as the contractors that will run the place. Since there is pretty much no private parking in the area, they are heavily encouraging transit use.
To get a sense of scale, that's quite a big Chapters directly across from it, and that's the entire Gloucester mall in the top right part of the photo.

It's too bad that those renderings are the closest that the general public will ever get to those buildings. National secrets apparently deserve good architecture.

This irritates me. Why can't all new fed buildings be this attractive?
Personal opinion: some days I wish that Library and Archives Canada had been the beneficiary of this construction project instead. Would that have been a bad thing?
