I don't get up that way very often, but every time I do, I'm amazed by how much is being built. The airport tunnel has made all the difference.

Bus route and stop already installed.

Another residential community (Cityscape) on the rise

I'm sure it'll be a massive project, but will it be up to par for the neighborhood? Maillot Homes has built some big homes but not anything out of the ordinary.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t. The one in Crescent Hill would easily look at home in Mount Royal.

I've always liked this house (except for the green trim) In a way it would be better if they kept the house and just updated it. I'm sure what will go in will be bigger but will be just another of the typical large custom homes being built these days. It won't have any character.

The style of the home is dependant on the owner. The owner may chose to build a modern version of a traditional mansion home, and if done properly can be very nice or go with the trendy modern place.

Looks like Maillot does a variety of homes, they've got 6 lots alone in Crescent Heights/Rosedale and not just the standard 'trendy modern place'

Mount Royal (interior goes with the exterior)

Silverhorn (interior again goes with the exterior)

Mount Royal

Mount Royal

They even do duplexes

I always thought that place had character, too bad it’s getting replaced.

Heard they are considering much of the current structure as a podium.

Maillot’s on the move. Next time you’re in the area try and snap another pic.

Thank you to Design-mind and Littlechild for the construction updates of some of the larger projects around town. Really excited to see how the cladding turns out on the Inglewood and East Village projects.

Looks like most of their properties are in around Brittania, Mount Royal and Crescent Heights, with a few out in Silverhorn. Can't say I'm a big fan of the Silverhorn design.

It's the most interesting part of the city's development these days, and yes, the tunnel has made the difference.

IMO Silverhorn house is fine but could use better windows. Outside if that it’s a great house. That spiral staircase is awesome.

Sorry, my wording was misleading. I don't know if Alfred Baum sold the house or not. I thought I had heard that, but don't know for sure.

Which house is the Titanic House?

Although it is smaller, I prefer his property on Lake Geneva.

According to this article, Alfred's Pumphill house has the second highest appraised value in the city, behind one in Mount Royal (likely the Titanic house).
