[QUOTE=M II A II R II K;5657111]Are these the ugliest buildings in the world?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/...?frame=2159769

15: Strata SE1 in Elephant & Castle, London. Designed by BFLS and completed in 2010.

10: The SIS Building in Vauxhall, London, also known as the MI6 Building. The headquarters of the British Secret Intelligence Service was designed by Terry Farrell and opened in 1994.

I don't feel this ugly building, nice design

Everytime there's a thread on this topic, the Pima County Legal Services Building in Tucson Arizona is the first building that comes to my mind...

Our ugliest local building is this 10 story Bavarian shit-box that greets travelers entering Quad City Land from the north on I-74 in Bettendorf...

Hey, that's the Lodge Hotel & Conference Center on Spruce Hills Drive!

That one's so bad I had to look it up on Google Earth.

Here's a riff on the same theme in Vail, Colorado:

souce

I think the Vail resort works better!

You know, you take away the contemporary color scheme of the Vail resort, it's not a whole lot different than the Quad Cities place. It'll be an eyesore in 15 years.

Ours was an eyesore the minute it was completed in 1973......And it's still standing.

Well, there might be some (many) that are worse but this is the structure that's most proud of it's ugliness........But, there are a few around here that also like it so you're not alone.

The problem with that building is context. Context is a huge piece of architecture and Illinois, right of an interstate doesn't exactly make me thing of small town Bavaria... not enough mountains.

That circle building is really cool actually, and I also love Strata SE1. Looks like something from the future.
