I think the building is beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished, lit up product at night. As for people commenting about the building on KENS 5 FB page, just remember that there will always be naysayers and nostalgics who are sensitive to new things.
Oh, yes. You cannot take people's criticisms on something like this as a pure indication of its quality or lack thereof. Austin is undoubtedly getting some nice stuff, too, but the naysayers and complainers are plentiful and unrelenting on those comments pages.

So I passed by the Frost tower the other night (8/24/18) and took a quick photo of those glass panels that are hanging on the garage by Houston st. Pretty cool on how they individually light up, can't wait to see the end results!

I also took this quick photo when I was at Rivercenter mall (8/25/18). I thought it was cool seeing the tower all the way from where I was at.

While we have our anti power liner here it is like they don’t go to other cities. I can be at a bar on Cedar Springs in Dallas and grab a power line from the second story. (Same with nola and Keywest)

I love that view! The telephone lines, the dumpsters, the street barricades, the moving car, the brick wall, the white panel van, the back of that building with the rust stains dripping down. There’s so much to frame the building with crusty goodness. I can't think of a better location from which to view the new Frost Tower.

Thanks for posting both pictures, jaga185!

Can we combine them so the Robt. E. Lee sign ends up in the dumpster?

We'd probably need The Model for that one.

I know someone on here previously said that the tower was going to have 4 frost bank logos on it, well I found the other 3 just laying on the upper level of the garage. I'm curious on how they're going to install the other 3 with just one crane up now. If i'm not mistaken, it took both cranes to put up the first one?

Frost

Tried to get a good shot of the Skyline from SAC. The Frost Tower just stands out in the skyline.
