Miserable skyscrapers - your thoughts?

When I think of a hi-rise/skyscraper, I think about ultra-expensive, hi-end, glamorous buildings. Sure, some may be ugly, but they are well made, safe, comfortable, and generally 'Grade-A'.

However, we also have housing projects, as an example, where between the building being poorly built, was not maintained and life inside would have been hell. Or, older buildings that were not well-made or designed and are horrible to be inside of (poor ventilation would be a big one).

What are some good examples of hi-rises that were or are miserable to use?

Thanks!

Chicago's Public Housing -Robert Taylor Homes

Most of these don't exist anymore I think, but they made State Street miserable for a long time.

Looks like it could really use a hug.
