I really love how this building is almost 45 degrees off the grid. It will make this little patch of downtown more organic as the city builds around it.

I remember a few months ago, someone on here said "nothing" was happening at LeBreton Flats...

Once Dream takes off, Zibi grows, and if the arena takes off with an entertainment district, Lebreton will be the most 'Downtown' feeling place in Ottawa. The drab squat soulless office buildings of the height restricted actual 'Downtown' and the 'Set of the Walking Dead' the Byward Market has become will become far less 'Downtown'.

Now that the temporary yellow supports are gone. I can finally get a better sense of the scale of this project. (Bigger then I thought)

I agree these projects are exciting, but I'm also interested to see how a Lebreton arena would affect the market. Yes there will be some bars/services around the arena but I bet a lot of people will hop on the LRT 2 stops to hit up Elgin or 3 stops to the Market after the games. Can't wait!

When driving on Rideau Street last week near Cummings bridge, I noticed the banners on the side of the side of the road promoting the area to the effect of Ottawa's Original Downtown. It just keeps pushing West!

I wouldn't call East Rideau Downtown, but for sure, it's shifted west, from the Market, to Elgin and Wellington when Parliament was completed, to Lyon with Place de Ville and now LeBreton with what we've been seeing over there. Won't be long before the entire "Inner Area" (Line 2, Rideau River, Ottawa River) is essentially Downtown.

Looks weird without the yellow jack-posts. Sort of apocalyptic.

It's crazy, I almost don't even recognize it without them. Gonna look sweet with all that stone/wood/glass!
