Tesla/Space X/Boring Co./Neuralink

I propose moving all Tesla talk off to its own thread, now that we're past the econ dev portion of the game, and are on to the construction.

Mods, maybe you can move a couple of the most recent posts over here?

Just drove nearby this site. Massive amount of work being done.

Also, the airport seemed pretty busy.

Good idea. Maybe change the title to something like, "Tesla Gigafactory (Tesla Related Projects)" and add some more content in the first post

I'm kind of wondering, what is the official name for the site? is it a "Giga" or "Terra" factory?

There's a good chance the site plan application will be updated with project details tomorrow:

https://abc.austintexas.gov/public-s...ertyrsn=156696

EDIT: It looks like "updated any day now" is the better choice of words.

Not much info included with the released site plan yet. But the project has close to 8 million Sq Ft of impervious cover which is 65% of the site.

Looks like we still don't know if they're amending the PUD or abandoning it. The comments on the site plan mention it's being done in phases, and if you go to the folder there's already(as of yesterday the 18th) another site plan application in progress.

I saw that. Is that of the entire track they bought or of just one of the parcels?

It's just the SE parcel they are working on now between 130 and the power lines.

Still confident in a big HQ type announcement in next month from the Muskovites?

Jeff Roberts has a Youtube channel that features 20-30 minute drone flyovers of the Tesla site. He has a video for every single day since the announcement was made. He was recently threatened by site security to cease and desist with filming. But his supporters got Elon to tweet that it was OK to continue filming.
