After reading the great news about JMJ, I started counting up the projects and was really impressed when it all came together. Just from the numbers I found. Plus the court house, plus the creek, plus CPS HQ, plus Lone Star. The center city is getting a massive injection for its 300th birthday. Here's hoping the snowball continues!

6 new high rises - Frost, JMJ, Canopy, Cambria Main Plaza, Hemisfair hotel, Thompson

Downtown = 2,311 units
221 JMJ
360 NRP Hemisfair
150 Acequia Hemisfair
215 Victoria Commons next phase
338 Encore Riverwalk
272 307 Dwyer
55 Floodgate
191 Alamo Manhattan
66 Thompson
220 9th & Riverwalk
223 Pearl Newell

New retail space = 96,200
50,000 Hemisfair
20,000 Frost
16,000 Floodgate
7,000 JMJ
3,200 Acequia Hemisfair

Office = 923k sf
400,000 Frost
354,000 Pearl Office
60,000 Hotel Hemisfair
60,000 Office bldg Hemisfair
45,000 Cambria
4,000 JMJ

Yeah, at night it looks nice. During the day is another story. The scaffolding is still up, so let's hope it looks better when fully completed.

I was hoping it was temporary while they figure out something permanent, but alas, it looks like that is staying.

Why not use that awful and meaningless crown and incorporate a sign that adds a dimension of height and purpose? Blocking off the two top floors??? WTAF

Am I the only one that looks at this and says, " if Compass bank can't get their sign right, then I don't trust them with my money"?

Don't companies in SA understand branding???

I never thought I write/say this, but I think for now on when I photograph the skyline, I will clone the windows in Photoshop and cover up that billboard! I'm really upset about this, and they are putting it on the other side of the building too.

Agreed! That River North area is looking fantastic! Love walking/jogging that area!
And with the Pearl development still at its peak, the area is just getting better!

Has there been any news on this project?

Ground breaking was supposed to begin last year. It would be cool to see this and other projects being build simultaneously with the San Pedro Creek Development
