^^Thanks for these great shots of this project. I've discovered you really can't appreciate the status of rebar placement from the construction cams. They are too far away.

Indeed... I agree with Pedestrian. Great shots. Really neat to see clearly the work being done at this point of the construction.

The next floor (6) is about where 5 was on May 8. The pour occurred 17 days later so I expect floor 6 will be poured on or about June 12 or 13. Then I think 3 more to go in the podium following which we may switch to steel and really go skyward (early to mid August?).

They really are hustling now. 1 day after pouring the 6th floor, the forms for the 7th are more than halfway in place. I am looking forward to their finishing the podium so I can see what happens then. I hope those who say the tower above that will be steel are correct so I can see it rise quickly.

Does anybody know the process of dismantling the crane when they're done?

Thanks, Pedestrian. In that video, they used a second crane to remove the upper assembly of the original crane. I wonder if they'll do the same with Park Tower?

^^At least with this type of crane, they almost always do. Not sure how else they'd do it. With the type at Salesforce, for example, and here at Park apparently they can take out sections and lower it gradually.

This schematic from the website appears to show that the podium is 11 storeys.

Thanks pseudolus. With that profile picture, they can use the crane all the way to the top, and lower it to above the 11th floor, and then use a second crane (as long as it's tall enough ) to remove the upper assembly, as in Pedestrian's video indicates). I forgot / didn't know, that the steel assembly above the 11th floor would not surround the crane (and get in the way).

What would take the place of the lower assembly, once it's removed?
