New Renderings:

Quote:
One Thousand Museum presents its latest renderings. An ultra luxury high-rise, One Thousand Museum sits at the nexus of South Florida’s most desirable destinations, just minutes from South Beach and the Brickell financial district.

The 62-story building, designed by internationally acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid, is currently under construction. It will feature only 83 total units on Miami’s Museum Park: half-floor, full-floor and duplex residences. Every residence at One Thousand Museum faces Biscayne Bay, offering residents expansive breathtaking views of both the water and Museum Park.

ne Thousand Museum will be the only residential tower in Florida with a helicopter pad on its rooftop. Private security concierges will also be assigned to the units at One Thousand Museum. Other amenities available to residents include a screening room, event spaces, indoor pool and a cigar lounge and more on the top of tower amenity zone. The Sunrise and Sunset pools are on the podium amenity level, embracing the 360-degree nature of One Thousand Museum.

I would sacrifice some of Toronto's quantity for some of Miami's quality projects.

I posted this in the aerial thread, but I think it serves as a good reference to how this tower will fill the gap. Look at the rendering above, then compare it to this shot. You can see where it will fit. Like a puzzle. At its height, its almost a shame it wasn't taller given its surroundings. But it will still stand out given its sci-fi design.

I guess its a good thing when Miami can say that 700 ft won't be as noticeable. Has the NYC syndrome, only difference is, that in NYC, towers like Verre look tiny. Miami will get there in time due. 3rd largest skyline, and given its land contraints, and population growth (metro), watch out Chicago. Miami is coming for the 2nd slot.

Photos Show Construction Progress at Hadid's One Thousand Museum

A mockup of the facade is now being assembled on site and will be visible in the next few weeks, giving passersby a glimpse into the the exciting future of the site.

Mid-December construction photos by Daniel Azoulay depict the tower about five floors above the ground. Construction workers can be seen pouring concrete amidst a huge web of steel rebar. Now that the holiday break is over, construction is kicking into high gear with completion expected in the fall of 2018.
